IT Helpdesk Support - posted 7th September

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role consists primarily of 1st and 2nd line telephone support and helpdesk logging.  This requires an individual who is confident and professional when dealing with all types of customers, from the most senior board members to junior staff members and project workers.  The candidate will be expected to take the initial call, log it accurately and then attempt to solve the problem, using remote support and other tools where required.  If the problem cannot be solved immediately the candidate will have the opportunity to follow it through to completion or allocate the job to an engineer as appropriate, based on expertise and availability. For the right candidate there will be excellent career progression opportunities in our fast growing company. 

Job Skills

  • Ideally MCP (or at least working towards it)
  • Good working knowledge of:

    • Active Directory,

IT Consultant, York - posted 7th September  

Based in our new York office, and reporting to the Consultancy Services Manager, the role will be split approximately 50% providing 3rd line support to customers (both on site and in-house), and 50% pre-sales and project work.  You will be required to attend customer sites to undertake initial audits, set up new sites and systems, build PCs and servers to support customers’ needs and maintain existing or new equipment.  You will also be involved in troubleshooting customers’ problems and devising innovative solutions and systems to solve them.  You will have good project management skills including structured planning, implementation and outcome reporting.  You will be an effective communicator, able to explain very technical issues to customers of all levels and inspire confidence in customers and colleagues alike.

Job Skills

  • MCSE with relevant commercial experience
  • Excellent all round knowledge of:

    • Windows Client (9x, ME, 2000 Professional, XP, Vista)
    • Windows Server (2000, 2003, 2008)
    • Active Directory, particularly across multiple sites

Senior IT Consultant - posted 1st September

Reporting to the Consultancy Services Manager, the role will be split between pre-sales and project work, along with management of existing client base. 

You will be required to attend customer sites to undertake initial audits, set up new sites and systems, build PCs and servers to support customers’ needs and maintain existing or new equipment.  As part of the role you will also act in the capacity of a CIO within a number of our larger clients.

You will also be involved in troubleshooting customers’ problems and devising innovative solutions and systems to solve them.  You will have good project management skills including structured planning, implementation and outcome reporting.  You will be an effective communicator, able to explain very technical issues to customers of all levels and inspire confidence in customers and colleagues alike.

Job Skills

  • MCSE and CCNA with relevant commercial experience
  • Excellent all round knowledge of:
