appiChar introduces new services for the not-for-profit sector
appiChar, a leading provider of managed IT services for the not-for-profit sector, today announces two new services to assist the not-for-profit sector with IT cost savings and efficiency. In addition to their existing services specifically designed to meet the needs of the not-for-profit sector, appiChar has introduced:
appiCard - a new fixed rate IT service that gives an organisation control of its yearly IT budget and provides assigned individuals with expert, unlimited IT support. Each team member receives an appiCard, with their own unique user number, allowing them to access appiChar's professional support staff. Benefits include unlimited telephone support, onsite critical support, remote monitoring and online backup. The higher the number of team members that use an appiCard the lower the cost.
appi2Share - a unique, shared services scheme which allows not-for-profit organisations of all sizes, who already operate the appiCard scheme, to lower their costs further. The more not-for-profit organisations that join together and join the appi2Share scheme, the more cost effective the IT service is for everyone. All organisations can therefore benefit from the economies of scale achieved. For example, if 5 organisations with a total of 86 people join the appi2share scheme for 3 years they can save over £25k on their IT budgets! There are also other benefits such as joint purchasing power to drive down the costs of software and hardware.
"As budgets are getting tighter many organisations are looking for fixed cost solutions to enable them to budget more efficiently," said Ian Ryder, founder of appiChar. "appiCard ensures that an organisation's IT systems are functioning well, while their costs are fixed for the year. We still wanted to look at other ways we could help not-for-profits save costs so that's why we developed appi2share - a unique scheme which allows them to lower their IT costs even further. As a company that's committed to the sector we really wanted to make sure that if we can lower our costs by increasing our scale our customers get the benefit - appi2shre is the perfect way for us to do that."
appiChar has been providing IT services to the not-for-profit sector since 2001 and has an in-depth understanding of the sector's distinct needs. "We are constantly listening to customer feedback and paying close attention to the issues that the sector faces," said Ian Ryder. "We offer a dedicated IT department for the not-for-profit sector and we are confident that these two new services will prove invaluable to the sector in providing a community of like-minded people gaining greater efficiency and cost savings."
